For Finalists:

When the Finalists are announced, you will be notified of the expert panel reviewers to whom you must distribute your product. You must ensure that the product is delivered to reviewers within 2 weeks of receiving the reviewers’ details. You are responsible for ensuring that your products are delivered to the reviewers on time.

3* non-returnable products for review will be required by the expert panel. They must be sent directly to the reviewers.

*Products in the categories Activewear, Swimwear, Yoga & Sunglasses will only be required to send 2 more non-returnable products for review after the initial entry product. This also can be arranged for products with RRP over $180.

You must ensure that your products are properly packed and secured in such manner as to enable them to reach their destination in good condition (this obligation includes paying any and all postage and packaging charges). We ask that the postal packaging be consciously chosen and for biodegradable, recyclable or reused packaging be used.

To the extent required, you shall ensure that your products are supplied with complete and accurate information to enable them to be evaluated and reviewed.

We suggest that you include some PR information to tell the reviewers what to look for, why your product is different and why it is better than other products on the market.

Please note that you are not allowed to include anything that could be considered a bribe and you must only send the panellists the product they are reviewing. This must be labelled Clean + Conscious Awards, so they are aware that is why they were sent it. You may not contact the expert panel directly to ask for their feedback on your product or offer them any additional extras during the testing period. We will be forced to disqualify brands who attempt to influence testers. If requested, you will be provided with feedback and reviews from the testers which will be sent via the Clean + Conscious Awards.

Ownership of the products will pass to the reviewer following delivery of the product to the panel member and acceptance of them.

Clean + Conscious Licence Agreement:

There is no additional cost to win a Clean + Conscious Award. All Finalists & Winners will receive their submitted image with the superimposed rosette.

The licence to display the 2025 rosette artwork on all packaging, correspondence, promotional and marketing materials, email signatures and (not limited to) social media artwork is available to those who purchase a Promotional Toolkit for $250 per product (early bird rate) or $300 per product (standard rate). This includes the complete Awards Artwork package with 3 logos and your Rosette Artwork as well as direct ‘Click to buy’ links to your website from our Awards Directory. It also includes the opportunity to participate in extra campaigns such as our discount page and giveaways.

The Clean + Conscious Awards reserves the right to withdraw the use of a rosette/logo for any reason as we deem necessary, including (but not limited to): inappropriate display of rosette/logo, defacing of rosette/logo (including adding words, icons and other graphics) and non-payment of fees.

A Clean + Conscious Awards rosette/logo may not be displayed on a product which has undergone reformulation or other significant change since the judging process has taken place.

Judging:

The initial entry products will each be judged by Emily Fletcher, founder of the Awards, and given a score with respect to the following list of criteria: (i) Choice and quality of ingredients and materials, (ii) Social responsibility – ethics of ingredients and materials, sustainability, responsible manufacture, local + global contributions etc. (iii) Quality and function. The top 5 products in each category will be named as Finalists.

The Finalist products will each be judged by a minimum of 4 judges (except in exempt categories where less review products are provided, where there will be 3 judges) and given a score in respect to (i) Functionality and (ii) for the embodying of the Awards values – Ethical, Sustainable & Responsible. The judges will also answer qualitative questions on the products.

The highest combined scores and the reviewer’s qualitative results will be used to decide the final winners who will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. The Editor’s Choice rosette will be awarded by Emily Fletcher, the Awards founder. The winning brands will be given the opportunity to display the Awards rosette on the packaging of their Product and marketing materials (subject to agreement to the Promotional Toolkit Agreement above).

All entering brands will automatically enter the Social Impact Category of the Awards. The Social Impact Award recognises a business that leads change and is committed to making a significant positive impact on society. The winners in this category will be determined by the Clean + Conscious Awards Team & the founder of Peppermint magazine, Kelley Sheenan.
