Sustainable
Weleda is one of the two leading skincare brands worldwide to receive the new UEBT certification “Sourcing with Respect”, they create 100% NATRUE certified natural skincare and more than 80% of all their botanicals are from organic farming. Weleda has the largest medicinal plant garden in Europe and maintains more than 50 long-term organic farming partnerships throughout the world Weleda production facilities in Switzerland, Germany and France use 100% renewable energy. For the other branches of the Weleda Group, the share amounts to 91%. In addition, 98% of the waste generated during production is reused. Weleda aligns its sustainability goals with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals published in 2015.
Responsible
Weleda supports Treesisters and pledges to plant one million trees to help combat climate change. The brand also supports Carbon8 to help transition Aussie farmers to regenerative agriculture and support them to rebuild the carbon (organic matter) in their soil from 1% to 8%.
