Skin Food is a rich, nourishing cream. It contains a blend of nourishing plant oils, lanolin and beeswax, as well as extracts of pansy, chamomile and calendula to soothe and protect the skin. Suitable for both the face and body, it is ideal for providing intensive moisture during winter or after harsh treatment.

Clean

Formulated from excellent clean ingredients. Includes organic sunflower oil and organic rosemary, chamomile and calendula flower extracts.

Weleda products are made from quality natural raw materials sourced through organic cultivation, covering almost 248 km2 across the world in order to improve soil health and conserve biodiversity. Every product from the natural skincare range is certified with the ‘Sourcing with Respect’ Union for Ethical BioTrade label and NATRUE certified for quality standards in raw material production and procurement. Weleda is one of only two brands globally to receive the UEBT Sourcing with Respect logo certification, with additional ethical actions including funding education and fair conditions for farming partners while avoiding animal testing altogether.

Sustainable

Weleda uses 100% NATRUE certified natural ingredients, over 80% of which are from organic farming. Weleda has the largest medicinal plant garden in Europe and uses over 120 plants in their products. They maintain over 50 long-term organic farming partnerships and their production facilities use 100% renewable energy. Weleda also aligns their sustainability goals with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and is a certified B Corp, with a score of 106.9 out of the required 80 points, for their social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Responsible

Weleda has over 50 cultivation partners located all over the world who are farming enterprises, cultivation projects, cooperatives, and collectors of traditional plants. Weleda works actively with individual farming partners to address specific difficulties in country areas by funding education and facilities such as schools or raw material processing sites in small, rural areas. Weleda follows the strict social, economic and ecological criteria of the UEBT. The brand supports Carbon8 to help transition Australian farmers to regenerative agriculture to rebuild the carbon in their soil.

I love the bright green tube, which stands out easily anywhere. This has a thick consistency, my hands have been super dry this winter so I think the thicker cream helped to nourish my skin. It absorbed well into the skin and didn’t feel greasy or leave any residue. I really liked the scent, it wasn’t overpowering at all. My hands felt amazing after just one use!
