Tailor’s Gel Cleanse is a hydrating gel-to-foam face cleanser for oily skin. This fragrance-free formula gently removes dirt and makeup while boosting skin hydration and calming redness. It maintains the skin’s barrier function and leaves it feeling fresh and revitalized.

Tailor Skincare is committed to ethical practices, including being cruelty-free for over 12 years and sourcing high quality natural ingredients from trusted suppliers. They utilise minimalist formulations to reduce waste and transportation needs and assess new materials to ensure they align with their values of natural, vegan and ethically sourced products. Tailor Skincare products are formulated and manufactured locally in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Tailor Skincare packaging is made from sustainable materials such as blue glass that can be recycled infinitely, 50% PCR tubes sourced from recycled milk bottles and 'Well-Managed Forest' certified card boxes printed with vegetable inks. In addition, Tailor Skincare was the first New Zealand brand to create Compostable Refills in 2019. They also use 100% recycled materials for shipping track packs and work with logistics partners who prioritise sustainability. Moreover, they have made adjustments to their sample sizes to align with their commitment to sustainability, offering mini samples of their best-selling products in recyclable packaging. By focusing on appropriate sizing and reducing waste, Tailor Skincare aims to provide high quality natural formulations that are cost-effective and sustainable.
In 2020, Tailor Skincare provided a $2,000 grant to The Good Fund New Zealand through their Tailor Changemaker campaign. In 2021, they donated a $5,000 product to Endometriosis New Zealand as part of their Face of Tailor campaign. Tailor Skincare regularly partners with charitable events that align with their values, such as providing products for Pink Ribbon Morning Tea, Huggable Hearts charity fundraiser and Endo Warriors Aotearoa Silent Auction. They also maintain an ongoing partnership with the Look Good, Feel Better charity, which supports cancer patients with skincare and makeup tips. Additionally, the brand sponsored products for the Koha Apparel non-profit organisation's Kirihimete packs to help those in need during the holiday season.

Lovely fresh cleanser that starts as a gel and foams super gently, leaving my skin feeling clean, fresh and soft (not dry, as many foaming cleansers often do). Great locally-sourced ingredients and I love that the bottle is 50% recycled plastic – would definitely use this again! Their efforts are varied and many; too many to list! Tailor is impressive on multiple levels, especially in their transparency and efforts in packaging and production. The charities that they support gives them top marks too!
