Step One’s new SmoothFit line features organic bamboo viscose fabric. As Australia’s first clothing brand to achieve end-to-end FSC® certification, Step One commits to zero deforestation, fair wages and ethical work environments.

Made from 79% bamboo viscose, 15% polyamide for enhanced durability and 6% spandex for optimal stretch.
Step One has obtained the necessary credentials to demonstrate their ethical practices and accountability. They have carefully selected factories and suppliers with similar credentials, ensuring fair wages, no child labor and proper working conditions. Suppliers allow Step One to visit without notice, showcasing their commitment to doing the right thing and maintaining transparency in their supply chain.
Step One has achieved end-to-end FSC® certification, making them the first clothing and garment brand in Australia to do so. By partnering with FSC®, Step One is committed to zero deforestation, fair wage and work environments, protection of plant and animal species and supporting local communities in the production of their bamboo viscose underwear. They were the first signatory of the Fashion Forever Green Pact and use certified organically grown bamboo viscose in their underwear because it grows faster and uses less water than cotton. Step One's bamboo does not contribute to natural habitat loss or destruction and their packaging is 100% certified home compostable and toxin-free, made from corn starch.
Step One's social responsibility efforts involve working with locals and ensuring they are paid fairly, while also ensuring that their forests, water and resources are not harmed in the creation of their product.
