The Sontse tan mist is PETA certified, meaning it is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. This product has also been independently certified by Safe Cosmetics Australia as toxic-free, allergy safe and made with premium organic and natural ingredients. Products are also made in Australia. The lab used follows GLP and GMP.
Sontse emphasises sustainability in their products, using PET plastic which is 100% recyclable and FSC sourced paper for all their packaging. They prioritise minimising plastic usage and are actively looking for ways to further evolve their sustainability practices as the brand grows. Additionally, Sontse works with a specific brand that focuses on sustainable circular frameworks, such as compostable materials and contributing to global reforestation through tree planting with every order.
Sontse is inspired by the founder's love for sunless tanning and dedication to raising awareness for sun safety. The brand name, which means "sun" in Ukrainian, pays homage to the founder's heritage and is a tribute to their paternal grandparents. I get a bit nervous sometimes applying tanning products to my face as occasionally they cause me to break out. This was not the case with Sontse, it was really light on my skin and has beautiful ingredients that support my skin health, while giving a little tan glow. I also love that the brand is so committed to education and support of skin cancer initiatives. It aligns so perfectly with their product line but you can also see that it is a topic of personal importance to the brand too.
