Organic Merchant only uses Australian Certified Organic or wildcrafted ingredients, which are chemical free, non-GMO and have no additives, preservatives or artificial colours/flavours. Their raw cacao is ethically sourced from a B Certified (socially and environmentally responsible) corporation. All the brand’s products are also cruelty free, sugar free, gluten free and vegan friendly.

Sustainable Practices

Organic Merchant is a certified organic company, producing products that are all locally made, while utilising organic or wildcrafted ingredients and sustainable packaging. Their canisters are home made from post-consumer recycled paper (with tin lids), which come with home compostable plant-based cello bags inside. The brand is also partnered with carbon neutral postal service, Sendle, and is currently working towards obtaining their own B certificate (socially and environmentally responsible).

Social Impact

Organic Merchant regularly supports their local school, as well as Zen Tea foundation who are dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by domestic violence, abuse and isolation. In addition, they encourage diversity in their workplace and provide flexible and remote work to staff where possible.

When I feel stress building up inside me (which is more common than I’d hope for, thanks to lockdowns and homeschooling!) I find myself reaching for Spirit Dust because I really do find it helps to calm my adrenals and reset. Having battled adrenal fatigue in the past, I am all too familiar with the importance of reducing stress to optimise the immune system. I love that this mix contains 48% functional superherbs in the form of a deliciously spiced and comforting hot chocolate. I also love that it is sugar free, organic and comes in a home compostable packet. Highly recommended.
