MGB places the importance of people and planet at the forefront of its business and works with GOTS certified Fairtrade cotton, ensuring guaranteed living wages for farmers, safe working conditions and the healthiest fibre for consumers' skin. MGB exceeds ILO convention standards and works with production partner RCM, which is renowned as one of the world's most ethical producers of certified organic, Fairtrade cotton and is audited by a third-party for SA8000 certification. RCM offers locally-led, culturally appropriate education programs for over 160 workers' children and health insurance for workers and their families.
Sustainable
Mighty Good Basics supports small-scale organic and GOTS certified Fairtrade cotton farmers, providing technical and marketing support to improve sustainability and profitability. They use GOTS certified Fairtrade cotton, which guarantees living wages for farmers, safe working conditions, and healthy fibres. The brand aims to become fully circular by 2025 and is working with a textile recycling partner to offer recycling of their underwear. The Textile Exchange found that organic cotton is far better for the environment, using 91% less water, 62% less energy, and 46% less CO2, among other benefits.
Responsible
Mighty Good Basics is in partnership with Happy Boxes, a company that supports women in remote Indigenous Australian communities to access essential supplies and address mental health issues. This reflects the brand's commitment to social justice, worker empowerment and dismantling inequalities.
