Ethical
Mighty Good Basics is designed in Australia and manufactured in a certified Fairtrade factory which is internationally regarded as one of the world's most ethical producers of certified organic and Fairtrade garments. Workers are paid above the government minimum wage and receive allowances and medical insurance benefits. Furthermore workers are provided daily transportation to and from work on the RCM factory company bus. In 2018 Mighty Good Basics signed the Australian Modern Day Slavery Act.
Sustainable
Mighty Good Basics support small-scale farmers that produce Fairtrade and GOTS certified cotton. This means guaranteed living wages and safe working conditions for Farmers. Dye houses also recycle and reuse the majority of their processing water. They use reverse osmosis plants to purify the water. Mighty Good Basics uses 95% certified Fair Trade GOTS organic cotton and ‘low impact’ dyes that have significantly less harmful impacts. Furthermore their new men's range is carbon neutral through carbon offset company Greenfleet. Australia Post is used for shipping which means their postage is carbon-neutral. GOTS + Fairtrade certified cotton tote bags are used as packaging for garments and compostable postage bags are used.
Responsible
Mighty Good Basics has partnered with the Australian charity Happy Boxes Project. They support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women by alleviating the barriers to accessing basic needs. The brand is committed to providing regular product donations to their community to enable the basic needs of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to be met.
