Mighty Good Basics is committed to creating the most ethical underwear in the world, placing importance on people, planet and universal human rights. They work with GOTS certified Fairtrade cotton, ensuring living wages for farmers, safe working conditions and environmentally friendly production practices. Their production partner, RAJLASKHMI Cotton Mills, exceeds ILO convention standards and is audited for SA8000 certification. RCM also provides education programs for workers' children, health insurance and above minimum wage payments with various allowances. Furthermore Mighty Good Basics supports small scale organic and GOTS certified Fairtrade cotton farmers, providing them with technical and economic support for sustainability and profitability.
Mighty Good Basics prioritises sustainability by using GOTS certified Fairtrade organic cotton for their products, ensuring farmers receive living wages and safe working conditions. A commissioned Life Cycle Assessment found that organic cotton is far better for the environment than conventional cotton, using significantly less water, energy and CO2, as well as avoiding toxic chemicals and GMOs. The brand is also implementing a textile recycling program to offer customers the option to recycle unwanted pieces and aims to become fully circular by 2025. Additionally, they carbon offset all production through GreenFleet.
Mighty Good Basics is in partnership with Happy Boxes, a company that supports women in remote Indigenous Australian communities to access essential supplies and address mental health issues. This reflects the brand's commitment to social justice, worker empowerment, and dismantling inequalities.

This brand has very high ethical, social and sustainable standards with the plan to recycle used products. The range of colours and the elasticised seams are lovely. The high-cut bottom is not right for my shape but would look great on those with no bum! The GOTS certification is good as is the Fairtrade cotton.
