Made from excellent non-toxic materials. Outer layer: 100% organic cotton. Inner lining: 100% superfine merino wool. Certified to the Responsible Wool Standard.
Ethical
Made and owned in Australia, Merineo uses natural, ethically grown fibres for their products: merino wool and organic cotton. Merino wool fabrics are sourced from knitting mills in Italy and Australia, both factories of which carry a number of ethical certifications such as; ISO9001 and Responsible Wool Standard. They also use Australian local suppliers for all required services such as; cutting and sewing, fabric screen printing, haberdashery, packaging and graphic design.
Sustainable
Merino wool fabric uses less water to process into fabric, is the most reused and recycled fibre on the planet and is 100% biodegradable. Textile factories used to manufacture Merineo fabrics have several sustainable certifications related to re-using water and using clean energy. Merineo also uses cotton labels on their products, water-based inks for pattern printing and FSC certified cardboard boxes / envelopes and drawstring calico bags for packaging and posting. Furthermore any potential fabric wastage is recycled/repurposed.
Responsible
Merineo supports the Australian community, by using Australian merino wool, and using local suppliers and manufacturers. They also donate products and volunteering services to charities such as; Friends of Epworth and St Kilda Mums. Furthermore Merineo act responsibly by discouraging fast fashion, incorporating features in product designs to ensure long wearing, for example Toddler Sleeping Bags have press studs under the arms to open as baby grows. The brand creates ‘slow fashion’ collections.

This sleeping bag is by far my favourite design! I really LOVE the animal design! It is super comfortable and the softest sleeping bag I have felt! It also has a nice stretch to it. Having a sleeping bag that can grow with your child is a huge plus as you can invest more in one quality product. I also love that there is room to grow over time so it’s not limited to one year of use. Overall a great sleeping bag. It had minimal packaging when it arrived which was great. I love that they are supporting Aussie farmers and buying 100% Aussie Merino wool/supporting local, which is vitally important.

I also love the extra snaps on the arm holes to make them smaller & the zip at the bottom for easy nappy changes.
