Kissing Chickens is an Australian-owned and run brand that manufactures all of its products in Australia using only natural ingredients. The founders, who are registered nurses with over 20 years of experience in the health industry, have created a product that is environmentally-friendly and cruelty-free. The brand's name is inspired by their chicken sanctuary in North Queensland, where they provide a home for around 100 rescued animals, including chickens, pigs, cats, dogs, geese, turkeys, and ducks. Kissing Chickens is a vegan company, owned and run by vegan women and their products are certified vegan by Vegan Australia.
The solid scent packaging by Kissing Chickens is made from tin-plated steel and comes in a small cardboard box, completely plastic-free. Their solid scents are long-lasting, with each one lasting up to 2 months, meaning only 6 orders and subsequent shipping are needed per year. Additionally, they use cardboard plain boxes and paper labels for deliveries, emphasising their focus on sustainability efforts.
Kissing Chickens has expanded their product line to include a paste deodorant and a soon to be released stick deodorant called Scent of Kindness, which was originally created as a Christmas Fundraiser for chicken sanctuaries in Australia. They donate $1 from every tin sold to support these sanctuaries. Their long-term plan is to acquire a larger property for their animal sanctuary to accommodate more chickens and other animals in need. Additionally, they aim to provide work and accommodation for women aged 50 plus who are experiencing financial struggles or living in insecure or unsafe environments, as this group is the fastest-growing homeless demographic in Australia.

This is an innovative and clever approach to perfume and body scent. By creating a solid scent, it gives people the opportunity to use a natural and toxin free perfume that is gentle on the skin and lasts for hours. The scent is both uplifting and relaxing. This would be an excellent gift idea as it comes in a beautifully presented box. This is a wonderful Aussie brand doing great things for the planet and animals. I was also impressed by them using clean and local ingredients!
