This creamy face cleanser for dry skin is infused with organic Australian fruit and flower extracts, yucca, organic rice milk and rose. It calms and restores skin health protecting the natural oil balance, leaving skin hydrated, clean and refreshed. Ideal for normal, ageing, stressed and sensitive skin types.

They have taken steps to reduce their carbon footprint, such as partnering with projects in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea to make deliveries carbon neutral and sourcing packaging from suppliers with good environmental practices and working conditions. The brand prioritises honesty and authenticity in claims of sustainability, ingredients and product benefits since their establishment in 2007. iKOU's products are formulated with strict ethical standards, including being vegan, sustainable, palm oil-free and utilising Australian-grown ingredients when possible. Additionally, iKOU does not test on animals and has turned down opportunities to sell in China due to mandatory testing requirements. The founders are both vegan and work to ensure that the company remains vegan in all aspects, including events and catering.
iKOU is a 100% Australian-made skincare brand that prides itself on using organic and wild-harvested ingredients to avoid putting chemicals and pesticides into the earth. They operate their warehouse and retail stores with solar and wind power and have been carbon neutral in their deliveries since 2008 by offsetting their emissions to protect endangered species and old growth rainforests. The brand is committed to sustainability, being palm-oil free, using recyclable bottles, sourcing ingredients locally to minimise their carbon footprint and using eco-certified preservatives. They have also started the process of becoming B-Corp Certified and have won awards for their environmental practices.
iKOU factors mental health benefits and wellbeing into their products, aiming to inspire "Health & Happiness" in all they do. They work with palliative care units in hospitals, send random gifts to customers going through challenging times and support indigenous communities by sourcing ingredients from them. Additionally, they support other women in business through charity projects and donate products and resources to those in need, such as communities affected by natural disasters. They also provide a flexible workplace for their predominantly female workforce.

An indulgent, cleansing cream that smells incredible and noticeably hydrates as it cleanses. I found this cleanser to be gentle and calming and a wonderful way to start (or end) a cold, dry winter’s day. My skin loved it. iKOU’s founders obviously have a strong ethos and clear ethical and sustainable standards by which they have steered the direction of the company since its inception. I am particularly impressed by their rejection of Palm Oil as an ingredient, as well as their choice of carbon offset initiatives that protect existing forests rather than just planting trees. I applaud this brand for all of their endeavours and wish them luck in moving toward BCorp status.

This cleansing cream will have you coming back for more! A stunning and easy to use cleanser, I first noticed how the scent washes over you, then with it’s creamy formula it feels instantly calming and cocooning as you massage it into your skin. Rinse away for a milky finish that leaves skin feeling clean and cushiony! So much impresses me about how iKOU run their business to keep pushing there ethical, sustainability and social responsibility standards. I particularly like that the are palm oil free, the personal touches of sending surprise skincare kits to people in need and being able to provide family friendly practises in their workforce.
