Heartwood Natural Harmony – Touch Wood Eau de Parfum Natural

Touch Wood – as a concept – appealed to me from the get-go. I have always been a fan of the tradition, so the name peaked my interest. I love the earthy, sandalwood fragrance – particularly after hearing about Heartwood’s Indian Sandalwood farm, their practices and their story. This is a warm, spicy and delicious fragrance that I would happily integrate into my daily ritual. Their packaging is also elegant and sustainable – Yay! I’m also really impressed with the fact that the core of this business is grounded in the sustainable Indian Sandalwood farm that is vertically integrated, promotes biodiversity, is Climate Active and more. Heartwood are also investested in multiple social initiatives and sustainable farming and harvesting processes to positively contribute to both people and planet.

I love the name of this natural perfume, ‘Touch Wood’, as it makes me feel as though it brings good fortune. The carefully selected components, including Indian sandalwood, Cedarwood and Frankincense, create a truly exciting, sensual and subtly spicy aroma that lasts. It is fantastic that the Indian sandalwood is sustainably grown and harvested locally in Western Australia. I am also incredibly impressed that Heartwood is a Climate Active beauty brand and that all of the products can be returned to be refilled or recycled through Terracycle. I love that the hero ingredient of this divine natural perfume—Indian sandalwood—is grown and harvested sustainably by Heartwood on their family-run farm in Western Australia. Given that this highly desirable wood is threatened by poaching and overharvesting globally, it’s reassuring to know that it comes from a sustainable source. The perfume itself is wonderfully grounding, subtle yet sensual. I appreciate that Heartwood is certified Carbon Active (carbon neutral) and that they generously support the Cancer Council.
