Non-toxic
Made from excellent non-toxic ingredients. Made from a blend of plant waxes and the colours are derived from plants, vegetables, roots, seeds and flowers.
Ethical
Eco Crayons are only made from renewable sources, the carbon footprint of the product is very light. Eco Art and Craft products are plant based and the ingredients are waterway safe. Overseas manufacturers are selected based on their ethical practices and because they could demonstrate that the working conditions are world class. Eco Art and Craft purchases locally made and grown where possible and have recently been approved to use the iconic Australian Made green and gold logo.
Sustainable
All Eco Crayons and associated packaging is compostable. Recycled stormwater is used in manufacturing sourced through a gravity fed system and any wastewater returns to the water table or is used for vegetable and flower gardens. Natural product elements are foraged from the community and Buy Nothing groups and botanicals are sourced from their home garden. They reuse boxes and use compostable mailers for postage as well as only shipping with Carbon Offset companies.
Responsible
Eco Art and Craft sponsor the National Breast Cancer Foundation as a cause close to their hearts. They also make regular donations within the community, including the Salvation Army and Backpacks 4 Kids. Furthermore they partner with companies like Go For Zero, Banish, Flora + Fauna and EkkoWorld to help educate and challenge the way that people think about clean products for children. Eco Art and Craft only work with stockists who align with their own vision and ethical values. Furthermore they have made an ethical decision to offer employment to under-employed parents with young children, where possible and offer them flexible working arrangements.

My kids adored experimenting with these gorgeous plant-based crayons. My three-year-old was the first to comment on the smell “Are they made with chocolate? Oooh they smell so good!” My six year-old created some beautiful drawings and enjoyed experimenting with overlapping the earthy colours. I love that these crayons are made using renewable ingredients and that the brand follows strict guidelines around ethical sourcing (no mica or palm oil).
