Burt’s Bees – Lip Shimmer in shade Peony

I was pleasantly surprised by this product and it quickly became a favourite! I used the shade PEONY which was a pastel, metallic pink for instant vibrancy and a high shine finish. This had good longevity and the convenient stick packaging makes it easy to apply. The inclusion of peppermint oil leaves the lips tingling and refreshed, adding an invigorating touch to the overall experience. I love their commitment to natural and responsible beauty, being Leaping Bunny Certified over 14 years and never having tested on animals since inception. Whilst they contain animal ingredients and are thus not vegan, it seems that they are committed to cruelty-free ingredients that are also free of toxins and chemicals. Mindful packaging, CarbonNeutral certified and actively working towards a circular economy by reducing waste and energy use is to be commended. Their responsible sourcing initiatives support over 40,000 livelihoods globally and I’m impressed that they promote health, safety and biodiversity, reflecting their dedication to making a positive impact on both people and the planet. I trust that no bees are harmed in the process! I also appreciate that their focus in giving back is towards women and children through a variety of initiatives.

I really like that this product is easy to apply and the colour is very wearable – not too bold but definitely a little pop! I enjoyed the subtle shimmer and fresh mint smell of this formula too. The natural ingredients within the formula and the community partnerships are also great to see!

This is such a pretty shade! I love that it’s easy to apply and so handy to leave in your handbag for colour and hydration on the go without taking up loads of space! I also love that Burt’s Bees gives back by being involved in various social and community causes and projects.
