Bodi Blends prioritises natural ingredients in their protein blends to ensure they are gut-friendly and suitable for a wide range of consumers, including pregnant women, children and the elderly. They go above and beyond by having their formulations third-party tested for lactose and gluten to guarantee the accuracy of their claims of being 'low lactose' and 'gluten-free.' The brand consults with a Sports Dietitian to ensure the effectiveness of their ingredients and emphasises transparency in an industry filled with artificial flavors and fillers. Bodi Blends also supports local brands by sourcing stationary, packaging, photography and other services from Australian-based companies. While they strive to use local ingredients, they prioritise quality and currently source their Kakadu Plum locally, with plans to eventually use Australian WPI for their blends.
Bodi Blends initially packed their blends in stand up pouches that could be recycled through RedCycle's soft plastics initiative. They are now actively working on environmentally friendly packaging alternatives and hope that Australia will have systems in place to recycle stand up pouches in the future. The brand uses recyclable materials like kraft boxes, recyclable scoops and thank you cards made from 100% post-consumer waste. They also use eco-friendly practices like water-based ink on shipping boxes and carbon-neutral shipping providers like Sendle and Australia Post. Additionally, Bodi Blends partners with Ecologi to plant one tree for every order to combat the climate crisis, with over 250 trees funded in various countries to date.
Bodi Blends sponsors or partners with events that donate proceeds to important causes, such as the Gold Coast Triathlon Pink, where the sponsorship cost goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The brand also sponsors challenges at local gyms, contributes prizes for giveaways and supports local markets in Brisbane by having a stall to promote the brand and help organisers. Additionally, the founder ran the Gold Coast Marathon to raise funds for breast cancer research.

The flavour of this was so good and I just love that it doesn’t contain any unnecessary ingredients! What a bonus with the MCT oil and the sweetening with Monk Fruit. I love that it is simple, natural and super tasty and the inclusion of tart cherry – Genius! I also love that there are no nasties and they really stick with these ethics even though this may be more expensive to formulate – I admire this in a mass protein market! It is great that they are looking into recyclable stand up pouches for the future and they make up for this in their other packaging. There is also an impressive social conscious awareness and giving back to the community!

This was so good blended straight with water and felt really great in my body afterwards. Not too sweet and so creamy and fluffy! I really loved seeing how community focused Bodi Blends are, as well as them using real, pure ingredients. They have an obvious commitment to finding the best quality ingredients, as well as using sustainable packaging. The use of pure monk fruit instead of artificial sweeteners is also great.

I like the nutrition profile, the taste and ease of use. Chocolate is the slight winner in flavour for me, so it gets a half point extra there! I am also impressed by their aspirations and it is clear that they are making an effort in a whole range of areas in their business, from manufacturing to packaging.
