Black Cockatoo Distillery – Bush Berry Gin

I’ve never tasted a fruity gin quite like this – deliciously sweet and super light and refreshing. You sound like a business with your head screwed on right. Your attitude to the land, giving back and supporting First Nations people and Indigenous ingredients is admirable – and makes total sense.

I absolutely adored the colour of this gin and the bottle when it arrived it looked like something I wanted to put on display in my bar and almost felt like I didn’t want to spoil its prettiness by opening it, but I am so glad I did, it was absolutely delicious in flavour, easy to drink! I had it neat and also with Soda and can’t wait to have another glass. I love that they source ingredients from their garden and that the owner works closely with the indigenous community working towards promoting indigenous ingredients. I also love the fact that the local markets allow a $5 off your next bottle when you return your empty bottle!

I love that the botanicals are thoughtfully compiled and include native elements sourced from the garden. The flavour is refreshingly different. Cultural awareness in production, using flavours from the garden, and conscious sourcing – are all the hallmarks of a responsible and ethical production process.
