Bamboo Behinds conducts an annual Full SMETA audit of its small, family-owned factory in China to ensure working conditions, safety, and fairness for workers. The brand purchases sundry items from small Australian-owned businesses instead of large corporations such as Officeworks and Bunnings. The brand believes that working with small factories provides more transparency about worker conditions.
Sustainable
Bamboo Behinds' nappy packaging is 100% home compostable. The brand uses carbon-neutral delivery providers and packaging that fits their products precisely, reducing the amount of packaging and transit impact. They do not use any packing foam in their shipping and offer pick-up options for customers in Brisbane to reduce emissions from additional trips. In the case of returns, the brand refunds the customer rather than requesting the product to be sent back, reducing unnecessary carbon emissions.
Responsible
Bamboo Behinds has engaged in social responsibility efforts such as donating nappy boxes to Baby Give Back and foster parents in the local region, paying annual school fees for two Ugandan women who could not otherwise attend school, and contributing to local charities such as the Mater Foundation, Chain Reaction, and SLSA.

Bamboo Behinds Eco Nappies are compact and lightweight. They don’t feel overly substantial (while still being reliable and absorbent!) which to me is representative of their ability to break down quickly!
