ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated fibre derived from discarded fishing nets and other pre and post consumer materials is used. Fabrications meet OEKO-TEX® standards and are printed locally in Australia. Express post deliveries are offset with Greenfleet who plant native biodiverse forests in Australia and New Zealand to restore critical ecosystems. Furthermore the brand is a Global Commitment signatory - part of the Plastics Economy to help eliminate problematic plastic.
Responsible
Each Shapes in the Sand collection is designed to align with a local environmental project. The current Hightide collection has been created in partnership with OceanWatch Australia. OceanWatch works with Australia’s seafood industry and coastal communities to ensure our marine environment is healthy, productive, valued and responsibly used. Shapes in the Sand are donating $10 from the sale of every garment sold from Hightide to OceanWatch Australia to help protect essential fish habitat through Tide to Tip 2022.

I fell in love with The The Oystercatcher Wireless One Piece as soon as I saw it. The unique oyster-inspired print is so beautiful and the one piece cut is so lovely. Once they were on it sealed the deal – hugging me in all the right places.
Shapes in the Sand make beautiful swimwear in a way that values people and the planet throughout the supply chain. I love the theme of supporting the ocean and waterways, while also ensuring garments are made ethically and are of a high quality. This is a wonderful brand with a beautiful product.

Bold print with a lovely connection back to the initiative it’s supporting – oysters for the support of ocean and oyster habitats. Fabric is lined and thick, with a nice feel to it. Some bust support was provided despite a lack of underwire. Love the genuine connection between swimwear and social responsibility of ocean-based initiatives. Great to see recycled ocean plastic used in the manufacture – and local manufacturing too. Love the use of ethical dyes. Beautiful little detail in including a compostable hygiene liner!
